We have been asked to film a minute long scene of one character having some kind of conversation with another character. It has to show the 180 degree rule and examples of other shots. I am working with Alex Duthie, who is the main cameraman and I am going to be the director, we will both be editing. Our two actors are going to be Josh Dobson who is playing a character called Roger, and Jamie Lee who is playing a character called Steve, both actors are in Sixth form at Sawtry CC.
Our idea is to have two characters, Roger, who will be accusing the other, Steve, of stealing something of theirs, but the audience will not find out what this is as this will create more tension and leave them asking questions about what they have just seen. At the end of the scene the screen will go black and the audience will hear a loud bang which will also leave them asking questions.
The deadlines for the preliminary task are:
Pre-Production - 8th November - 18th November
Production Window - 19th November - 26th November
Post Production - 27th November - 12th December
Presentation Day - 15th December
I hope to work on my camera and editing skills, as we have booked 2 cameras we may have to both do each role. This will help me to improve my skills in all of the roles, although I would most like to work on my editing skills.
