Preliminary Task - Camera Skills

"What are the benefits of using a tripod and shooting multi-camera?"

Using a tripod allows the camera man to perform steady shots, especially with panning and tilting. A tripod helps with the framing of a shot, it makes it much easier to position the camera. As well as making filming easier, tripods make filming quicker too. It also makes the shot look more professional as the shot would be well balanced.

Shooting with more than one camera also makes filming quicker, because two or more cameras can be left running in the different positions needed instead of one having to constantly move around to shoot what is scripted. If one shot filmed from one angle looks bad, then another from a different angle could be used without having to redo the whole shot. This can make the scene look more dramatic and effective.

I used what I learnt from this by using two different cameras when filming, this made it much quicker to film for us. I used the tripod to help me make different effects too.
